What is Wellness?

Eating vegetables or taking a brisk walk can make you feel well. But wellness is more than eating or exercising properly. To feel at best in all areas of life - physical, mental and spiritual - that is real wellness.

Being well means being in a state of balance. You are focused and relaxed, ready to engage the world. You are ready to deal with the challenges of daily life. You have current and spare energy to persist in doing what you are intent on achieving.

The road to fitness, health and wellness is not a walk in the park for a dinner party but it is also not something unreachable. The secret is in doing what has to be done first, one step at a time, It is a journey over a lifetime. Small changes in behavior allow for huge changes in quality of life.
